Our Lakes
BenLee Lakes is situated off Junction Lane in Horbury, Wakefield, West Yorkshire. At present there are two lakes with plans for four more to be developed in the near future.
The lakes are day ticket waters which can be purchased on the bank or at Kerrs Angling Centre priced at £5.00.
Both lakes offer some excellent sport all year round and are well stocked with:
- Common Carp
- Mirror and F1 Carp
- Bream
- Barbel
- Tench
- A variety of silver fish
Each of the two lakes are well looked after and have over forty pegs between them. Both lakes are easily accessible for the disabled angler and there is plenty of car parking space.
Matches are often arranged and produce some good weights, to arrange a match contact us.

- Leave the M1 at junction 40, then at roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A638 Signposted Wakefield
- Turn right onto George-A-Green Road
- Continue on George-A-Green Road - B6475
- Turn right onto the A642
- Turn left onto Daw Lane
- Turn left onto Green Lane
- Arrive at BenLee Lakes
lake rules
- Barbless hooks only
- Keepnets are banned unless used in a permitted match
- No cat food / dog food / boilies
- No method feeders
- No floating baits
- No fires
- No discarding of bait on the bank or in the lake
- No litter to be left on the bank - use bins provided
- One rod and line
- Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult
